Ford introduced the new Mustang Mach 1, a limited edition American muscle-car with 480 HP.
The Mustang limited series name leaves no doubt that Ford honors its heritage and sends us right to the top of the 60s and 70s range. Unfortunately, there we will be and remains a thought at least until next year when it reaches American customers. The model has not been announced for the European market, but we can hope…
Like the original Mach 1 model, the current limited-edition Mustang aims to be a bridge between the normal Mustang and the sporty version of the Shelby GT500, which impresses with 770 HP.
Under the hood is a tuned version of the 5.0-liter V8 engine, which develops 480 HP instead of 450 HP of the standard version. As with the regular model, torque is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. If desired, you can configure ten-stage automation, not much different from the one that started its service on some Transit models.
To avoid going crazy over the power surprise, the Mustang Mach 1 has two additional radiators, one for the engine's lubrication system and the second for the gearbox. In addition, Mach 1's roadwear has been improved by using tougher anti-steering bars and traps. In addition, the Mustang Mach 1 also features adaptive shock absorbers, sharper steering, and a decent braking system.
